There is interplay between mic gain and the processor gain. The processor
will keep the average PEP higher, while not changing the maximum power
output. The combination of the two controls I stated earlier should work
well together, with the processor button engaged and illuminated. The radio
uses a true RF compressor, and it works very effectively.
