[1000mp] Mark-V + Heil microphone = scanning the frequency

Hans:

Check the 8 pin connector going into the rig.  I had the same problem on a TS-850 once.  The Heil adapter had the pins short (inside the 8 pin mic connector) which caused the rig's vfo to go up in frequency.
