Maybe you need another headset! I'm using a Optimus pr50mx headset here

my friend and sec-op Karel ON5TN braught his Pro-PLus Set from Heil. He had
to crank
up the AF-GAIN till  13-14 clock to have the same audio level of my Pro50mx
who is
at the 9-10 clocklevel !
using 2 ft1000mp here. !
