[1000mp] More listening audio and other stuff

Hello MP Fans:

If SSB is your main interest for the second receiver, it isn't necessary to
hard wire a narrow filter. You can plug in a narrow SSB filter in the open
filter slot for the second receiver, the dual conversion one. While in SSB,
select sub and narrow 1, and you will have the narrow SSB filter engaged.

I like to use the Collins 2.0 mechanical filter in that slot. It
significantly improves receiver performance with its skirts being much
narrower than the stock filter. It produces excellent audio quality also.
The Inrad 2.1 crystal filter has even steeper skirts, and may be a good
option for you also. I use the Inrad 2.1 filter in the 3rd IF of the main
receiver, with an Inrad 1.8 filter in the 2nd IF as my narrow pair.

The main receiver is actually a Quad Conversion, with the 4th IF filtering
being entirely digital.

73 and Happy Dxing,
