[1000mp] Beep Codes?

This is a strange one...

 

Switched on one of my 1000MP's today to find I had no transmit (or receive)
on 28 MHz, well 24 MHz too in fact. seemed a bit odd, switched the 'MP off
then back on and was greeted with three "beeps" from the loudspeaker.

 

Any idea what the beep code indicates - presumably a software code directing
to a fault, but what exactly?
