HI John,
Are you using a straight thru cable to connect the pc to the radio? You
cannot use a null modem cable which means pins 2 and 3 on one end are
swapped.
Please let us know this is very easy to connect and use.

Guys

I have myFT1000 Mark V Field serial cable running from CAT to my PC serial
port, com 2.    I am currently using DX4WIN contest and logging program,
which supports CW and CW Keyboard use.   Obviously I'm missing something as
I can get nothing to happen.   


Is there something I'm missing to do width the Mark V, or something with my
pc???

Actually, I watched one of the Icom guys at Dayton using the laptop with the
Million Dollar rig of theirs, and it looked so easy!!!      Apparently its
not, or I'm too stupid???    I'm betting on the last.
