[1000mp] inrad 1.8 filter experience

Have used the Inrad 1.8 cascaded filter pair in my FT-1000MP for a couple
years now and love them. It makes all the feature controls perform better
too. Not unusual for me to use the IF Shift and Bandwidth control
adjustments between lower and upper sideband when I use this combination.
Makes a big difference in copying weaker signals next to the big boys. Don't
forget to switch the agc to fast for that circumstance ....

Sometimes I will use one stage with the 1.8 and the other stage with 2.4 or
6 depending on circumstances. It is nice to have this choice and I have no
regrets with 1.8 filters used this way at all.

Have the noise reduction mod in the front end installed, but not the
narrower roofing filter. Will add that this summer, but waiting to see if he
adds the auto switching between the original and the new filter first ....
