Thanks for the replies.

I do not find a difference with EDSP off or on. Nor with the Monitor off or 
on. Oddly, I do find a difference when using the 2.4 kHz filters (Normal) 
vs. the Yaesu/INRAD 500/500 Hz filters I have installed (Narrow 1). The 
latter make the clicks/thumps much noisier, and I use them most of the 
time. On Normal, the problem is almost gone.

I may send it back to Yaesu to see what if anything they can do.
