[1000mp] FW: FT Problems Multiply

The FT-1000MP MkV has suffered a display failure this
weekend. The display was initially OK, but has gone dark. 
Other functions of the radio work OK.

I found the description of a problem with the thermal
fuse on the display HV supply board at:

1) Is there another known possible cause?

2) Has someone identified an appropriate replacement thermal
     fuse for the part described at the link above?

Bringing the radio back from Curacao for repair is troublesome,
and may also require paying duty on it (again) when bringing
it back to the island, a pretty expensive proposition. We'd
like to diagnose and repair it on the island, if possible.
