Looks like a little more trouble shooting, research, and question
asking, solved the problem without needing the manufacture. Sounds a
lot better than removing it, and sending it back for a replacement. The
spirit of Ham Radio lives!

No, not really. He had already done all the logical trouble-shooting,
so
the next step, as someone else observed, was to wonder if there was
something amiss on the roofing filter board itself. At that point it
makes
good sense to consult the seller. It makes even better sense when they
are
as helpful and responsive as the folks at Inrad.
