Hi Kelly,

I'm pretty sure that the only difference is that the 703C has a 703 filter 
soldered to a PC board which allows it to be simply "dropped in" in the 
appropriate space on the 1000mp/Mk5 etc.

The 703 would need to be soldered in - and would fit rigs like the FT900, 
FT990 etc.
