My sentiments also. Had the Mark V and the 1000D side by side and never could 
get used to the bells and whistles on the Mark V. Had it almost three years 
and could hear anything on the D I could hear on the Mark V. And I thought the 
D had a reciever that was more quiet. Just one man's opinion, but sold the 
Mark V and still have the D.
