That's right!

However (IMHO) the PA of the Mk-V should be built for this extra heat and 
stress...

There is no warning at all written in the manual of the Mk-V. Due to this 
Yaesu Europe paid the costs for the out-of-the-warranty repairs.

I heard from more Mk-V owners that they had blown PA-transistors while 
running Class-A with less power than the full 75 Watt.
