you actually generate more heat and stress on the PA in class A with LESS power as opposed to more.

Hello Bruce,

I owned the 1000MP for more than 2 years, the Mark-V 200 for more than 2
years and now the Field less than 1 year.

IMHO the Field is the best choice. I did have some troubles with an
overheated PA of the Mk-V 200. Actually the PA-finals of my Mk-V 200 blew
out during a Class-A transmission of 25 Watts instead of 75 Watts. The Field
seems to me much less overheated than the Mk-V 200. The 200 Watt is 'nice to
have', but certainly not 'need to have'. The ventilator noise of the Field
is much (!) less than that of the Mk-V 200.

Comparing the (standard) 1000MP and the Mark-V, which was the case for about
nine months, the Mark-V wins on performance and features.

Price/Quality of these rigs is very high, when you compare them with rigs
from others.
