Chris,
Does the meters (external) measure peak or average? If its average then
some of the readings are close to what one might expect with the power
output limited to 75 watts. One way to get maximum power is to have a
very low SWR, do you use a tuner?
My MP shows about 25 watts on average output on a remote combination
pwr/swr meter and peaks at about 60-70 watts with full drive power and
the alc line just peaks at the end of the bar. My mic is set at about
11 and the compression also about the 11 oclock position. I do not
think that you have any problems! PS a;; readings on 40 meters with a
1:1 swr
