[1000mp] Collins mech filter proper installation question

There appears to be two ways that the Collins mechanical
filter can be installed in the 1000MP and/or other 1000's.
One way would place the four resistors facing the chassis
side and the other with the resistors facing the center
of the radio.  The filter might be bilateral but the PC
board connections are not.  Please tell me which is correct!
