Pins 2 and 3 of the Band Data connector are connected to a transistor switch
driven by the same voltage that activates the TX GND relay. I have read in
the past of people using this transistor switch to key amplifiers. I am
currently using the TX Gnd relay with an external transistor switch for this
purpose. Using the transistor switch would take out a 10 to 15 ms relay
delay, allow me to turn off the relay eliminating the noise, and greatly
improve QSK operation.
My question is, does anyone have any idea of the voltage and current
limitations of this transistor switch?. The circuit that I am switching is
about 125 volts without load and is 100 volts at 80 ma loaded. My gut
feeling is that it should be no problem.
