Wow Rob that does sound better. Strikes me odd that all these changes to
rx would make such a difference on tx? However, I have to admit it does
sound better. I understand the importance of listen on a second radio and I
do, however using the recommendations from W2IHY it didn't seem to sound
that good to me. Where do you keep your controls on the W2IHY equipment?
Do you run the EQPlus at all times or only when chasing DX? Do you run the
8 band at all times or just when chasing DX? I followed the recommendations
of Julius for the settings on both the EQPlus and 8 Band as well as his
recommendations for setting up the Mark V and frankly it sounded like ?>it.
I'm using the Heil Goldline GM-4 mic, would you recommend something
different?
