Phil,
I use LSB via the Packet jack. Here is something you may be interested in
as well. I utilize the "USER" function which is just below the "PKT"
button. You can set up the radio to go into a PSK mode, if you will. The
description of how to set it up is on page 64 of the manual. You can also
set the radio's band pass to be centered on 1000hz very easily by changing
some menu settings. Specifically, 8-6 T-PLL and T-CAR. The settings are in
my menu settings which you can download at www.n2ki.com. Change the settings
to T-PLL = 1.3 and T-CAR= 453.7. These settings will only go into effect
when you select the "User" button. The neat thing is that your pass band
will be centered on 1000hz for PSK31. Have fun.
