Hi Ron,
While I could try to give you the pin-outs, I'd open it up and double check
and double check some more. A failure to get it right will lose you use of
the radio and result in a possibly significant outlay in shipping and repairs.
If you're making up these cables you should take the extra time to make sure
you're getting it right.
Similar problems I've had because of the differences between looking at the
connector from the back of the rig as it's connected, and from the connector
as you view it straight on. Open it up. Check. Double Check.
FINALLY: This only applies to the FT1000mp /DC. I believe the MK5 FT1000mp
uses 30v and 12v and an entirely different connector. The field MK5 uses the
usual Yaesu "HF Rig" configuration.
Go brave... but cautiously.
