Hi all.
I have recently undertaken the installation of the INRAD Roofing Filter in
my FT1000MP V Field, replacing the earlier 70mhz IF mod. I reset the menu
item 9.1 in accordance with INRAD's instructions, items 12, 13 and 14 - in
essence reset the increased value by 2 integers from the value set at the
time of installation of the 70mhz IF mod. The result was (as gauged by ear
!) identical in value to that related to the former IF mod. I did experiment
while in the 9.1 setting by adjusting, both upwards and downwards the
values, but settled on the INRAD recommendation.
As a matter of interest the after mod conversion was checked against an ICOM
7800 and the FT1000MPV Field had the edge well and truly so. Trust this is
of help Kostas and good luck with this worthwhile mod.
