Hi Jim,

Yes the VRF knob.  You can use it to de-tune a strong station to take 
down the background noise for easy listening.  Or you can detune an 
interfering station by de-tuning the VRG knob away from it.

You can see what it will do by tuning in a CW signal and just tune the 
know in either direction.
