Amen!

As Bill indicates, I performed the mod on my MP--more difficult than it
should have been due to tiny traces and parts and failing vision but I
perservered--and my local friends do indeed appreciate it.

Although I am an Electrical Eng. (retired), I still think that the Engineers
designing the communication gear today know a lot more about it than myself
or people trying to re engineer them in the home shop or basement.

If this is 100% correct, please explain why the 1000 radios are justifiably
notorious for their key clicks. This problem was a result of poor work by
"engineers," and solved by a simple mod.

If you operate CW with a 1000, please look into it. You may not want to do
the mod, but the guys who operate 1 kHz away from you on CW sure want you
to.
