Brian,
If you are actually dealing with a new circuit on the IF board I would
remove the cap on the RF board and put it back together. Then, call Yaesu
Monday morning and find out what is going on. I, too, have read that Yaesu
was correcting the CW Click problem. But, I would think we would have had
some reports already, if Dec 04 units had been factory modified.

Subject: [1000mp] Click mod IF question
I'm halfway thru the click mod and I'm looking at the back of the IF board
but it doesn't look like the pictures I've seen.
I have a Mark-V SN 4I630128 purchased new in early Dec from GigaParts. There
appears to be a very tiny resister and diode in the area where the W8JI
click mod gets connected. It's very hard to tell exactly where they connect
- I have a somewhat fuzzy photograph if someone would like to look - but I
worry that something is already in place, or there has been a circuit board
mod that would interfere with the click mod. I've already installed the cap
on the RF board.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I doubt I can post a picture to the
reflector, so if anyone is interested email me direct.
Thanks and 73!
