Comparing an FT107M (great rig) to a modern day reduced performance for a
smaller size is about like 88 blazer to a 2005 blazer, it just ain't the
same and never can be.

Very few of the Tech people at the big 3 are hams nowadays and only know
basics and are only permitted to say what their management programs them to
respond with.

Any other statement would be a breach of implied performance.

Lawyer, so sue me talk.

John,
the problem is not you but the attitude with Yaesu. This is why they
are losing business. You like others have taken the time and expense to call
Yaesu and ask a simple question before your purchase and it is quite
humiliating to be treated in such a manner. Makes you feel real good doesn't
it John! After all you were speaking with a "technical" person and you are
just a lowly ham radio operator.
I purchased a Yaesu Mark V almost two years ago and in the manual it
states that the rig will load up at full power into an antenna with a 3:1
swr. Above that the rig will reduce the power. The person you spoke to just
may not be that knowledable. If you know the persons name you spoke to refer
him to the manual and then see what he says. He may know as much as he
thinks he knows; consequently him putting you to shame. Perhaps he is not a
ham operator and does not know as much as we know!
