[1000mp] Inrad 70 MHz. front end mod FS

Hi Chuck - Just got the roofing filter and I'm about ready to install it. 
However, I know I'll miss to 70MHz IF mod since it really cut down on hiss 
and internal noise.  I use the 1000MP V mainly for low band dxing and 
contesting.  Which mod should I give up?
