[1000mp] Mark-V and noise phasing filter (MFJ-1026, etc.)

I got them both and tend to like the TimeWave ANC-4 better. The 1026
works good but I needed to have a longer sense antenna and it seemed
to like the impedance to be close to 50 ohm. With the ANC-4 I just
stuck a 12 foot piece of wire fed with some shielded stuff which was
not even 50 ohm coax and it picked the noise up super good. They
both operate about the same as far as adjusting goes. I've only used
them on 80 meters. If you intend to use them on the upper bands you
will loose about 6 db. As far as them taking noise out, yes it sure
does work on one single noise. In my case a noisy flourescent light
fixture next door, it took the noise from s-9 to s-0 where I could
not hear that noise any longer. The idea has been around a long time.
Good luck
