George,

Look on the VA3CR web site for information on the ANC-4.  At one time,
that information included data for installing in the RX antenna "loop"
of the FT-1000MP.  Without taking time to review, if you take a cable
from the RX OUT to the MFJ and from the MFJ to the RX IN, the unit
is only in circuit when you select the "Receive" antenna and never has
to withstand the transmit power at all.
