I have long ago given up replacing dial lamps, instead I use colourless
LEDs.
High brightness LEDs come in all shapes, sizes and colours and you will find
a suitable replacement for your dial lamp. Measure the voltage, calculate
the correct resistor value and you will have replaced the lamp for the last
time.
Also, LEDs do not generate heat to turn plastic lenses and faceplates
yellow.

Subject: [1000mp] Yaesu parts policies stink
A word of warning - at the end of November I bought a pilot lamp for a piece
of Yaesu gear. It cost $2.15. They offered me the choice of UPS for "about
$5" or USPS for 50 cents, but they said they would not cover loss or damage
with USPS. "How likely is that?", I thought, as I elected to save the
$4.50.
Well, you guessed it - the bulb never came, and Yaesu's reaction was
"tough." Seems they NEVER insure any shipment by USPS, nor do they put a
tracking number on a package (for 40 cents). Moreover, according to the
parts rep, they go to the post office only every week or two (never mind
that businesses can print postage, labels etc. and schedule package pickups
online). Seems as if they are embarked on a concerted campaign to drive
their customers to UPS.
I tried to talk to the parts supervisor about this ridiculous policy, but
was refused.
This is the only thing I have had *not* come through by USPS as long as I
can remember. You don't suppose....?
