Hello
Looking at the service manual for my 1000mp it is a complicated path with many relays between the TX or RX and ant. I would not transmit again as it sounds like your feeding TX RF right back into the RX CKT which has or could do more damage. You may have had a lightning surge or hit and welded the relays shut in RX and with the many relays and such in these units it will be a major undertaking to follow the path of things to check. You may want to send that one off for repairs. But you would certainly need a manual.
Good Luck
