[1000mp] Mark V problems ! odd ?

       this is an odd one.

    This weekend I got to turn on the MK V after about a 6 month 
   layoff of radio playing ........doing honey do's!  

   The MK V  is NOW not working right.  hi SWR  readings from the radio SWR
  meter  ON ALL BANDS. even into a dummy load.

     And the ATT  switch only works  at zero. if i turn the ATT  to any
  slot but zero the rec goes dead. not muted audio  more like 
   i pulled the coax off   so guessing the ATT  pads shorted or open? 

    And the SWR readings will change from bad to worst according to 
    which position the ATT knob is switched too?  some how shorting 
    the trans out ?

      I guess I need a service manual!   any ideas out there ?
