IME, they claimed faulty PA transistors but sent  back the FT1kD w/o 12m 
output and w/o the faulty components (Feb 2005).

On a previous repair job, the PA transistors and two biasing resistors 
were returned.  On yet another previous repair job, they returned a 
faulty relay from the LPF assembly.  I wondered  if they have changed 
their policy and no longer return the faulty components to the owner ?
