Stop servicing the FT-1000MP Mark V line? Why would they do that -- I just helped a friend pack and ship his FT-890 to Yaesu which they are happily going to update for him. I recently bought a part for an FT-101 from Yaesu. The reader with that kind of experience must not own a Yaesu, Icom, or Kenwood radio -- all three do a pretty good job of supporting their past products.
