[1000mp] FT1000MP - Main VFO - Erattic Tuning

Tuning signals with the Main VFO-A on my FT1000mp has suddenly become erattic.  Turning the dial
produces a series of very noticeable "pops" or "clicks".  It is difficult to tune onto a station,
either ssb or cw. It's like the PLL never quite locks in. The frequency display appears to be
normal, nothing erattic.  Using the Rx "clarifier" produces the same pops and clicks as the main
vfo. This is noticed on all bands, ssb and cw.

Sub Rx receives and tunes normally.

Anyone experienced this problem before?
