Ok call it normal but that still doesn't make it "vintage". Most
modern auto's will go 7 years without a failure if the maintence is done
and the driver doesn't try to make a race car or off road car of it. A
modern transceiver should do the same if maintained and not run with the
power cranked up over the spec. or run without air around it or run by a
drunk that pours beer into it.
