Hi Pete,
I have (1) GE 5.8 ghz and (1) 2.4 ghz phones and they are really cheap
money
wise the GE was 15.00 bucks at officemax on sale and the 2.4 ghz was
9.95 on
sale. My advise is maybe you should look at placement of your antenna,
is it
near the phone drop to your house, the cure could be as easy as a couple
of
rf beads on the cord of the phone, please let me know if I can help.
73's,
Craig WA2TWF

I realize that most phones today are junk. Any suggestions on phones to
buy
that are not sensitive to RFI?
Thanks.

You did not say where your G5RV--including the balanced line section--
is
placed relative to your shack. If it is nearby/overhead, or parallel to
the
phone lines, you are most likely radiating into your phone lines, and
perhaps directly into the wireless phones.---which are, of course,
RADIOS.
Your radio is probably fine. You may need to change antennas or your
phones
(most of them are junk).

Help! I recently got back on the air after 25 years and am using a
Yaesu
FT-1000MP MK V. When I transmit most of the telephones in the house ring
erratically. They are the wireless remote type. My antenna is a G5RV Jr.
Any ideas on how to remedy this?
Thanks in advance.
Pete
