[1000mp] Loss of Audio - EDSP

I encountered this problem shortly after receiving my 1000MP several years 
ago. It was not intermittent. Each time I pressed the EDSP, the audio was gone. 
Perfectly good audio otherwise.

After a conversation with Yaesu, the shop asked me to return the unit.

They replaced the EDSP unit and all has been fine ever since. There was no 
explanation other than one comment that Yaesu had received a  batch of EDSP 
units with some bad components. I don't remember if anyone actually confirmed the 
idea of bad components. Yaesu did not charge for the repairs since the radio 
was new.

You might check with Yaesu's shop to clarify the issue.
