Selamat datang!

The following reflector might also be of interest to you, Selva. Many
RTTY fanatics on that reflector who can offer all sorts of advice,
contesting or just operational:

I have the original FT-1000MP (not Mark V). On RTTY, have been using
combinations of 250 Hz and 500 Hz filters. When the bands are crowded,
I use a cascade of two INRAD 250 Hz filters. Under fluttery
conditions, I usually opt for a wider bandwidth, using the Yaesu 500 Hz
in cascade with an INRAD 400 Hz filter (I _think_ it is a 400 Hz, it
has been a while ago that I installed it).

If you are using FSK, make sure that you go into the RTTY menu to
select the tone pair that your modem/TU/TNC is using so that the narrow
filters get correctly centered. If you are using AFSK, use the Packet
mode of the FT-1000MP instead of SSB, and select the correct tone pair
in the Packet menu and the filters will also be centered correctly.

If you use SSB mode for RTTY, you would need to adjust the SHIFT knob
to bring a narrow band filter to center on the RTTY tones.

If you have the 500 Hz CW filter, it will work FB with either RTTY or
Packet modes.
