Depending on what digital modes and the like you intend to work, and how you
plan to interface with a PC or laptop, I would suggest the Rigblaster line
from West Mountain Radio. They come with suitable connection cables for you
specific rig, a great how-to manual, software for various digital modes, and
they have incredible customer support. I use the basic unit here to a 817
for PSK31. Love it. I keep my MK V solo for CW work.

Subject: [1000mp] Digital Modes

Hi folks,

After being licensed since 1856, I thought I might like to try some of the
digital modes. I have a few Yaesu rigs, a couple being FT1000MP MK V's.
The manual says I need a TNC. Could someone please point me in the right
direction as to what I need?

Thanks
