On my (original) MP, I use the Inrad 400 Hz/Yaesu 500 Hz pair for
"normal" RTTY operation and I use the Inrad 250/250 pair when the bands
get crowded. The 250 Hz filters require more precise tuning.
These are just the regular "CW" filters. The 1000MP can apply the
correct frequency offset to center the filters at the right place.
(Unlike my Omni VI, where you either have to buy a special filter that
has the RTTY offset, or use the passband tuning knob to move an RTTY
signal to the CW offset.)
With the 1000MP (don't know for sure about the Mark V), both AFSK
("Packet") and FSK ("RTTY") modes have menus where you can select where
to place the filter centers. If you are using the 2125/2295 tone pair
in the software modem, just set that using the rig menu (use "2310
center" in the "Packet" menu if you are using AFSK).
If for some reason you don't like the 2125/2295 tone pair, you need to
choose a tone pair which the rig's filter can be centered to. It is
critical that the rig and the modem agrees.
