You didn't say what filters you have.
I operate using MMTTY as the tnc in Writelog.
Usually, the ssb filter is sufficient, but in heavy peak contests, 500 is needed.

Also you didn't say if you were using FSK or AFSK.

That won't make a difference on the close signals,, but just curious.

Even with the SSB filters, you should NOT have major problems, we just aren't that crowded 
in this contest today.
