Peter,
i!m remebering when contesting at Lier OTxA station and at home I used
also the mfj voice keyer and goth rf picking up via the mfj.I modified
the microcables inside with short wire beads (in onze taal varkensneusje
genoemd)
these are small beads where you can pull a wire tru. Also on all connections
some 0.1 uf capacititor
to the earth. This helped for me.
About the 1000mp dc version ,I have one also and I have also bad noise in
the mon.The first moment
off PTT'ing make a "CLACK" noise .I think it is coming from the long wire
running to the ps under my desk!
If I lower the power to 10-20watts all is ok.Pse see last page in the manual
!!
IF someone have a Yaesu ft1000mp on sale .I'm looking for a second one to
start some Multisingle and SO2R at my
home.
