Subject: [1000mp] 1000mp tuner problems?

My 1998 vintage MP has suddenly developed a puzzling problem:

High SWR on each band unless tuner is cycled first. Simply pushing "tune"
won't work, however, only turning on the tuner and transmitting until the
unit finds a match. At this point, I can turn the tuner off and operate
with normal SWR. The problem doesn't appear again until the next time the
rig is turned off then back on again. Also, on 20m only, it sounds like the
RX is being attenuated until I do the tuner trick...

I never use the tuner, and stray RF has been ruled out. Must be relays, but
which ones? TX/RX or one in the tuner?

73, tnx
