Paul,
You can also use the banddata tx to operate a linear !
you need a buffer for this ..look at va3cr webpage .
probely the transistor driving the relay is bad...a friend off mine
had the same problem !

Subject: [1000mp] mk 5 TX GND fried??
Hello All,
For the last few months I have not been running a linear
with my 1000mp mk5. I tried to hook up my Henry 3K this
evening and it looks like my TX GND connection is no longer
switching (verified with a DMM), I double checked the LIN switch,
it is in the correct position. Sounds like I have a fried relay or relay
switching circuit. Any suggestions? Last time I used the circuit it was
working fine. I would hate to give up my mk5 right before contest season,
do I have any other safe options to get a switched gnd on TX?
Thanks!
73,
Paul W4QG
