Hi Selva,
90% of rigs at IH9P are FT1000-MP. Since our first M/O effort from
IH9 island, in CQWW SSB, we "married" our RTXs with any sort of
commercial linear amps, always with UFB results.
Personally, I use my one in combo with an AL-1500 since about 10 years,
having never had any problem during my serious enough all modes
contest activity (RTTY  too!).
After using it (with FT1000) several times at IH9P, now my target
is to buy an ACOM 2000A: IMHO it's the real Ferrari in amateur
production of linear amplifiers, with a good performances-price
ratio too.
