[1000mp] Need info on PIN DIODE MOD for FT-1000mp

Hello to all,
PIN DIODE MODIFICATION front and rear for the FT-1000mp?
I have heard this about this modification but without any real detailed
information as to what is done to the FT-1000mp. I have been told it reduces
the noise floor in the radio.

Dose anyone know the story about this Mod ?
Dose the radio have to go into the shop for the work ?
If not to involved I would consider doing the work myself.
