[1000mp] question for FT1000MP users

I'm planning on adding a separate antenna just for 30 meters.
I was thinking of simply connecting the coax for the antenna to the Ant 2 port.
But as I frequently run a KW on my yagi which is on Ant port 1, I'm concerned that the 
close proximity 30 meter antenna may be too much for the front end.

Should I get a 'front end saver' ????

>From what I see in the schematic, the relay 'should' ground the switched out antenna port.
But is that enough?
