[1000mp] Mark V External 13.8Vdc

The FT1000MkV rear panel 13.8Vdc jack supplies a fused but wimpy 200mA.

I want to power the MFJ-616 'speech enhancer', which needs 1.5A, without 
the nuisance of an external 12V supply.

MFJ recommends against wall warts, although I guess some are better than 
others (many produce hash too).

Has anyone considered adding an external connector for 13.8Vdc to the FP-29 
PS? Does anyone have specs for this PS? How much reserve is there?
