Hi Peter,

My audio in the monitor has always sounded terrible.  Barefoot MkV, no 
amp.  I tracked it down to leads plugged into the front panel.  I now 
don't plug anything into the front panel and the problem has pretty well 
gone away.  Ferrite clip-on chokes also help if you have to plug 
something into the front panel.
