[1000mp] sub rcvr 500hz filter question

I  put another Mark V without the Sub Rcvr 500 Cw filter side by side
with the one with the 500hz filter and there is a marked difference of
selectivity between the two sub receivers.  Its just that the sub
receiver is so broad to begin with (compared to the main receiver) it
just seems like the 500hz filter wasnt in the circuit.  So the sub rcvr
500hz filter is working correctly its just the menu selection 5-8 dosnt
remove it from the circuit in real time as its changed from on to off.
